Apple Watch चे hypertension detection feature ला US FDA approval मिळाले आहे आणि ते 15 सप्टेंबर पासून available होणार आहे. हे feature Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Series 11 आणि Ultra 2, Ultra 3 models वर available असेल. Feature 150 countries आणि regions मध्ये roll out होणार आहे. Optical heart sensor वापरून 30-day periods मध्ये blood vessel responses analyze करते. Apple ला अपेक्षा आहे की पहिल्या वर्षी 1 million undiagnosed hypertension cases detect होतील. हे watchOS 26 चा भाग म्हणून येणार आहे. 

Apple चे health technology मध्ये एक नवा milestone गाठला गेला आहे. Company च्या Apple Watch साठी hypertension detection feature ला US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) चे clearance मिळाले आहे.

FDA ने September 11 ला official clearance दिले आणि feature 15 सप्टेंबर पासून watchOS 26 च्या साथ launch होणार आहे. हे Apple च्या health initiatives मधील एक महत्त्वाची यशस्वी कहाणी आहे.

हे feature Apple Watch चे optical heart sensor वापरते आणि blood vessels चे heartbeats ला response कसा असतो याचे analysis करते. Algorithm passively background मध्ये काम करते आणि 30-day periods मध्ये data review करते. Consistent hypertension signs detect झाल्यास users ला notification येते. 

Feature 150 countries आणि regions मध्ये available असेल, त्यामध्ये US, European Union, Hong Kong आणि New Zealand चा समावेश आहे. Apple Watch Series 9 आणि later models, तसेच Ultra 2 आणि later models वर हे feature असेल.

Apple ने हे feature advanced machine learning methods वापरून develop केले आहे. Training data 100,000 पेक्षा जास्त participants च्या multiple studies मधून गोळा केला गेला आहे. Clinical validation 2,000 पेक्षा जास्त participants सोबत केले गेले आहे.

Hypertension globally 1.3 billion adults ना affect करते आणि stroke, heart attack आणि kidney disease साठी primary risk factor आहे. हा condition अनेकदा undiagnosed राहतो कारण त्याची obvious symptoms नसतात. Apple ला अपेक्षा आहे की पहिल्या वर्षी 1 million people ला undiagnosed hypertension बद्दल notify करेल. 

Users ला hypertension notification मिळाल्यास त्यांना third-party blood pressure cuff वापरून seven days blood pressure monitor करण्याचा सल्ला दिला जाईल. हे American Heart Association guidelines नुसार आहे. सर्व data iPhone च्या Health app मध्ये log होईल आणि doctors साठी PDF म्हणून export करता येईल.

हे feature Apple च्या September 9 च्या "Awe Dropping" event मध्ये announce केले गेले होते. त्याच event मध्ये iPhone 17 series, iPhone Air आणि नवे Apple Watch models launch झाले होते.

Apple ने स्पष्ट केले आहे की हे feature सर्व hypertension cases detect करणार नाही. परंतु Apple Watch चे global reach पाहता, हे feature millions of people च्या आयुष्यात positive impact करू शकते.
